Important Days

  • PE is on a Tuesday and Friday. Please bring your kit in on a Monday and take it home on Friday.

Homework

  • This half term spelling tests will be every Friday.
  • Homework will consist of the following:

 

Please try and read with your child at least 3 times a week at home.

Maths homework books. Complete 1 section a week and due every Wednesday.

Weekly spellings; test on Fridays.

Termly topic project, choose an activity from the handout or create your own! Spring Term’s, Coastlines homework is due on 2025.

Here are some websites and ideas to support your child’s learning at home. Logins to these websites will be stuck on your child’s reading diary.

  • Numbots is a website where your child can practice their number bonds and counting skills, competing against friends.   

  • Spelling Shed 
  • Hit the button is a multiple choice game where children can practice their number bonds and times tables, enabling them to be quicker and more accurate.
  • Oxford Owl is a website where your children can read their stage book on a computer or tablet. You will need to click on Oxford owl for home and create your own login.
  • Espresso provides a range of activities on all curriculum subjects. Please explore the maths, SPaG and English areas. Also have a look in the KS1 science areas on habitats or mini beasts  for a range of fact files, videos and activities.
  • Letter join is a great website to practise our handwriting it can be used on computers or tablets.
